Episode 25: Tadahiro Kawada (Kawada Industries Inc.), Tokyo, Japan

When the golden time of the Samurai in Japan passed, Mr. Chutaro Kawada’s childhood dream of becoming a Samurai swordsmith was shattered. Using his swordsmith skills, he completed any steel work projects he could find. After World War II, Mr. Kawada focused his energy and talent in rebuilding Japan and turning Kawada Ironworks into a civil engineering company to help his country with infrastructure development. Fast forward to 2016: his great-grandson, YPO member Tadahiro Kawada, is now the president of Kawada Industries Inc., and has recently expanded the company portfolio to include robotics. In this episode, Kawada shares his insights on innovation with the focus of building robotics technology.
