Episode 73: David H. McKinley (McKinley Carter Wealth Services), Wheeling, West Virginia, USA

YPO member David McKinley is an eighth generation Appalachian, tracing his West Virginia roots back to the 1600s. David’s father is a longtime representative of northern West Virginia in the U.S. Congress, continuing a family tradition of public service that goes back 150 years.

David pursued his own path in the family business of leadership, becoming a strong advocate for West Virginia and Appalachian economic opportunities.

After holding positions at WesBanco and WellsFargo, David founded McKinley-Carter Wealth Services, which today has more than a billion dollars under management and was recently named to CNBC’s Top 100 Wealth Advisors List. David also runs Willow Glen Capital, an investment portfolio of privately held businesses focused on revitalizing Appalachia.

David was named to the “The State Journal’s” list of “Who’s Who in West Virginia Business,” and since 2009, has served as a governor-appointed trustee of the West Virginia Investment Management Board.
